A five-day film festival will be staged in the grounds of Burghley Park this summer following the success of last year’s inaugural event.
Burghley House will provide a stunning backdrop to the open-air event which will take place in the south gardens between July 30 and August 3.
Great Romantics is the theme for the first evening which will feature Breakfast at Tiffany’s (PG) and The Notebook (12A) from 6pm.
Films on Thursday, July 31 will be Monsters University (U) at 11.30am, Despicable Me 2 (U) at 2.15pm and a Monty Python night from 6.30pm with Monty Python and The Holy Grail (12) and Monty Python’s Life of Brian (15).
Friday, August 1 will bring action and espionage with The Incredibles (U) at 11.30am and Johnny English (PG) at 2.15pm. Evening films will be The Bourne Identity (12) and Argo (15).
On Saturday, August 2 you can see Epic (U) at 11.30am and Stardust (PG) at 2.15pm followed by a retro revival with Dirty Dancing (12) and Top Gun (PG) in the evening.
Great British films round off the festival on Sunday, August 3 with The Little Mermaid (U) at 11.30am, Bedknobs and Broomsticks (U) at 2.15pm and War Horse at 7pm.
A larger screen promises a better movie experience.

After that tickets will cost £8 per double bill until April 30 and £10 from then until the end of July. Tickets on the gate will cost £12. All child tickets cost £4.
