Stamford dominated both their local derby games against Bourne on a sunny winter’s day.
Stamford Blues won 9 – 3 in the opening game, scoring first through George Johnson, who ran almost the length of the pitch for the first of his hat-trick of tries.
Further tries from James Birbeck, Sam Calvert (3), Tom Chesworth and a break- away try from Ciaran Dolby completed the emphatic win.
Stamford Reds followed with an 11–2 victory over Bourne, who scored two well-deserved intercept tries.
Stamford’s try-fest was down to great passing and ball handling, with tries from Sam Hughes (5), Tom Dancy, Tom Hattee (3), Angus Bowling and William Ramsey.
