Age was no barrier to young sprinter Chelsea Lucas as she took two medals home from the Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Track and Field Championships.
The 14-year-old Catmose College pupil was up against athletes two years her senior as she competed over three distances in the under-17s age group.
She missed out on a medal by one place in the 200m, finishing fourth in a personal best time of 27.77secs, but claimed the 100m bronze with a second PB of 13.44secs.
Lucas then went one better in the 300m, winning silver and completing a hat-trick of personal bests with 45.82secs, putting her just outside the East Midlands top 10 rankings.
Chelsea runs for Corby Athletics Club in the Heart of England League Division Two after helping them earn promotion from Division Three last summer.
