Hat-tricks secure big win for Langoft Reserves

Any thoughts that Langtoft United Reserves might suffer a hangover from the previous week’s 5-1 defeat were banished as the Vikings returned to the top of PDFL Division Two.

Langtoft beat winless Ramsey Town Reserves 7-1.

Moddy Santaniello set up strike partner Callum Fox to open the scoring and Fox grabbed a second when he drove home a loose ball.

On the stroke of half-time, Santaniello’s 20-yard shot was spilled onto the bar by the Ramsey keeper and Martin Tooth got his reward for following in when he nodded home from six yards.

Ramsey pulled a goal back but Tooth quickly restored the three-goal lead. Fox completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot and Sam Thompson made it 6-1 before Tooth also notched his hat-trick with a twice-taken penalty.
