Deeping Rangers knock out Oadby Town in the KO Cup

Deeping Rangers attempt to go one better than last season in he Knockout Cup where they lost in the final, started well on Saturday when they recorded another win over Oadby Town.

David Burton-Jones’ goal after 39 minutes had last term’s beaten finalists in front at the interval.

Oadby levelled through Elliot Putman on 70 minutes but two cracking goals took Rangers into the last 16, with Matt Heron restoring the advantage after 79 minutes and Ryan Oliver sealing the win five minutes later.

Deeping are in Lincolnshire Senior Trophy action at Bourne Town tomorrow (Tuesday).
