Letter: Stamford needs the hub development

Like many people in Stamford I have had the pleasure of living here all my life in this beautiful town.

This is the first time I have felt the need to write concerning one of your articles in the September 12 edition.

I think the Hub is a wonderful idea taking a ugly empty building as it stands today, and transforming into a useful, lived in, architecturally pleasing building that does actually, from what I can see from the digital impressions fit into the beautiful Georgian architecture that we are so fortunate to have in Stamford. We should be thankful that we have businesses who want to invest and want to stay in Stamford.

This project should be welcomed opened armed, rejuvenating an old unwanted building and creating 150 new jobs for our town ensuring its future for our children.

Bravo Mr Soneya and Mr Weavers Wright the digital impressions are impressive we need more people like you that see the potential in our town and want to invest in the community. The work with English Heritage has definitely paid off! We should be encouraging more businesses to come to Stamford to ensure it is here thriving for in another 100 years plus!
