Your News: Bourne Academy pupils get hands on with physics
On Wednesday, October 7, Bourne Academy Year 8 pupils enjoyed an afternoon of fun and entertainment as they participated in a joint RAF BAE Systems roadshow to encourage young people to consider engineering as a career.
The three presenters enthralled pupils with hands-on demonstrations including a dustbin that blew smoke rings, balls balancing in the air and demonstrating the strength of compressed air.
Assistant headteacher Mr Keshwara said: “This was a fun and engaging way of promoting physics and its modern day applications, and kept the students’ attention by disseminating the information with a humorous approach.
“It was also a very useful exercise in inspiring girls to become enthused about engineering”.
