The main road between Stamford and Bourne will be closed for two days next week.

The A6121 Stamford Road will be blocked in Carlby two days of resurfacing work from Wednesday, August 13.

The road should reopen at 5pm on Thursday, August 14, as long as the weather stays clear and dry. A signposted diversion route will be in place via the A151, A15, A1175 and A6121 and vice versa.

During the works people wanting to use Delaine 202 bus service will need to wait at the Greatford Road junction as it won’t be calling at the usual stops in Carlby.

Area highways manager at Lincolnshire County Council Kevin Brumfield said: “Whilst every effort will be made to reduce the inconvenience, we thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.”
