A poultry farm is hoping to install ground mounted solar panels on its land that would provide power for more than 40 homes.
GW Padley Poultry has applied to South Kesteven District Council for planning permission for the project at Nutto Farm, in North Road, Bourne,.
The proposed ground mounted solar PV array of 150kWp would provide power for a minimum of 25 years for the homes and farm itself. The panels will be about 3m in height and cover an area of 43,560 sq ft.
The material would be provided and built by Lark Energy.
The company has not revealed how many panels would be built.
