Obituary: Mary Adams

Mary Adams, of Priory Road, Stamford, died at Peterborough City Hospital, aged 76.

She was the daughter of Hughie and Margaret Adams and was educated at schools in Glasgow.

On leaving school she worked in Glasgow for William Sneddon as an accounts clerk and went on to manage a shop.

A member of the RSPB and RSPCA she enjoyed walking dogs, cross stitching, knitting, and watching TV, especially soaps.

Her favourite pastime was going for lunch and dinner and enjoying a couple of glasses of wine with friends in local pubs in Stamford.

Widow of Basil, she leaves her daughter Lorraine and granddaughter Megan.

Nicola Dela-Croix offici-ated at the funeral service at Marholm Crematorium.

Family mourners included: Lorraine Adams, Megan Adams, Sean Adams, Mark Adams, Darren Adams, David Adams and Ian Fawkes.
