The new South Kesteven Pub Watch Scheme covering Bourne has issued its first exclusion notice following “a serious alcohol related incident” in the town.

This has resulted in a man getting a five-year ban from all participating premises.

Police say the incident happened on Saturday, February 27.

The man was arrested but police have not revealed any further details of the incident.

Pub Watch is administered by Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Lincolnshire Police, Lincolnshire County Council and local businesses.

PCSO Graeme Parrott said: “Real-time information is shared in an effort to reduce and deter criminal conduct in and around retail and licensed premises.”

He said Pubwatch “strives to develop a strong, safe and pleasant neighbourhood that can be enjoyed by all” within the community and by those who choose to visit.
