Families from across the area have been enjoying a fun packed Easter weekend, at Easter egg hunts in both Stamford and Bourne.
Hundreds of people joined in the fun at the Gardens of Surprise at Burghley House, with an Easter egg hunt for all of the children to enjoy.
Over 1,400 people turned out to join in the “egg-citement” on Easter Sunday, in the glorious sunshine.
Jo Tinker, marketing manager at Burghley House, said: “It was a fantastic day and we had a record number of people at the event. Everyone had a great time and there was a great atmosphere.”
On Monday, the Friends of Bourne Wood held an Easter egg hunt at the woods, with over 200 people joining in the hunt along the woodland trail to find the hidden eggs.
Sarah Roberts, from the Friends of Bourne Wood, said: “This year’s event was one of the best we’ve ever had. It was very busy and everyone enjoyed the Easter egg trail around the wood.
“Everyone at the Friends of Bourne Wood was really pleased with the turnout - it was really well supported and we had a few more new volunteers to help out on the day.”
