On Tuesday 20th October, 20 Year 3 and Year 4 pupils from Bourne Westfield Primary Academy participated in a rugby festival for local primary schools.
The annual event took place at Spalding Rugby Club, with 14 schools taking part, on what was a particularly glorious sunny Autumn day.
During the morning the children were put into mixed groups and coached through fun games and activities by Year 10 pupils from Spalding Grammar School.
After lunch, matches were played with the emphasis on teamwork and respect.
Sports teacher Hannah Anderson commented, “A great day was had by all and hopefully some new rugby enthusiasts have been discovered.”
