Thieves ransack elderly woman’s house

Three men ransacked a house in Tallington last night (Friday).

The men gained access to the house in West Road, Tallington, at about 7.15pm, and ransacked the house.

Police said the house was “occupied by an elderly single female”, who had money stolen from her purse. Officers have not said whether the woman was injured during the incident.

Police were called and the dog unit followed the scent to the Casewick Lane/St Lawrence Way area.

The men are described as in their 20s, wearing baseball caps and all of thin build.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward. Please call 101, quoting incident number 478 of August 21.
