Homes burgled in Deeping St James and Morton

Police have appealed for witnesses after a spate of burglaries.

A collection of Spanish ceramic pots, plates and ornaments were stolen from an elderly resident of Bridge Street, Deeping St James, on Sunday night.

If you saw anything call 101 quoting incident 112 of March 24.

And a number of homes in Morton were burgled on Saturday night.

Thieves got into a home in Station Road through a first floor window between 9.15pm and 930pm. They searched the house and took jewellery.

Jewellery and watches were stolen from a home in Hanthorpe Road at some point before 9.45pm. Thieves got in through a kitchen window.

And two homes in Old Station Yard were burgled. One was ransacked between 12.30am and 8am on Sunday morning, although nothing was taken. And jewellery was stolen from a second home in the same time period. The thieves are thought to have broken in through the back door.

Officers have asked that anyone who saw people acting suspiciously that night to call 101 quoting incident 386 of March 22.
