Shops in Stamford and Oakham will be open late to get shoppers into the festive spirit and for the chance to get in some early Christmas shopping.
Christmas late night shopping in Oakham is on Monday when shops will be stay open until 9pm.
There will be street entertainers, stilt walkers, fire eaters and gift stalls as well as live music from Fidgety Feet with Brooke Hill Academy and Langham Primary School pupils singing carols.
There will also be cookery demonstrations, sampling of Tesco’s festive products. Santa will arrive on a fire engine and at 6.30pm there will be a surprise spectacular in Market Place.
Roads in the centre of Oakham will be closed from 2pm onwards for stalls to set up. And car parking will be free for all from 3pm.
In Stamford retailers from St Mary’s Street and St Mary’s Hill will again team up for another late night shopping event on Thursday.
It follows on from the success of their first event on Thursday, November 28, when more than 40 shops on the two streets and nearby lanes opened.
During the shopping night, the shops taking part will stay open until 8pm with many offering extra promotional offers, as well as festive drinks and treats.
Stores in both streets will also be entering their customers into a raffle to win a hamper of gifts.
Tickets will be drawn at 8pm in Paradise Found in St Mary’s Street.
