Police in Bourne are seeking the public’s help in tracking down two men and the vehicle they used in a suspected “rogue trader” incident.

The men, who had an open-backed white truck with ladders in the back, were seen in Millfield Road, Morton, on Friday.

Police say the men were asking to clean driveways and to mend roofs.

PCSO Graeme Parrott said: “If these persons called on you on Friday and you are able to supply us with the registration number of the vehicle please contact police on 101 quoting incident 189 of March 4.”

He asked residents to consider using reputable traders for work carried out on their homes, saying a good starting point for people in the PE postcode area is www.safelocaltrades.com (telephone 0800 141832), which is recommended by Age UK and Neighbourhood Watch.
