Third time lucky for new Bourne mayor Colin Pattison

A former mayor has taken the chains of office for the third time.

Colin Pattison, who represents Cawthorpe on Bourne Town Council, has been appointed mayor of the town.

Coun Pattison relished his first spell in the ceremonial role in 2016, with highlights including raising £1,000 for charities and attending a number of events.

But the pandemic made his second term in 2020 entirely different as virtually all engagements and fundraising opportunities were cancelled.

This term Coun Pattison, joined by wife and consort Fiona, will return to having a busy diary.

He has lived in Bourne all his life and was a founder member of Bourne Rugby Union Football Club.

A keen cricket and football fan, he supports Liverpool FC and Peterborough United, and is a former discus and shot put champion, having competed for Holbeach Athletics Club.

Joining him as deputy mayor is Coun Paul Fellows.
