Featuring the cream of local talent and acts from further afield, hand-picked by professional musicians, the Stamford Music Festival runs from today (June 20) until Sunday, June 29.

For the first time this is the opportunity to hear a wide range of excellent live music over the Stamford Festival week, opened by the Kiwanis Parade of Floats and the Lion’s Sunday Family Fun Day.

Catering for all tastes the festival includes dance nights through to quiet acoustic performances of classical and light jazz; pub-based heavy metal gigs through to classic rock; world and early music, a cappella folk, gypsy swing and youth events with open mic stages.

A Grand Final BBQ on the afternoon of Sunday, June 29 will finish off the week and give opportunity for open stage performances.
