Stamford and District Kiwanis have been busy preparing themselves for a fun packed weekend of activities, as they get ready to host Stamford Family Fun Day on Sunday.
The event, being held in the grounds of Burghley House is completely free to attend, with a huge number of workshops that children, young people and adults alike can take part in for no cost.
Workshops and activities include rock climbing, archery, circus skills, theatre, magic demonstrations, hat and badge making, cup cake decorating, children’s games, face painting, cycle skills, play area, baby yoga and lots more.
There will also be two special workshops being led by winners of ‘Got to Dance’ Chris and Wes, which children and young people can take part in during the day.
Alongside the many workshops and activities, there is also a full line up of live music including local band Fully Loaded, dance performances from the likes of Wildcats, Welland School of Dance and Jem’s Hip Hop, a family fitness sessions with local fitness instructor Emma Brewster and an unusual display from a football trickster.
At 3.40pm crowds can enjoy a special Spitfire flyby especially for the Fun Day, along with the added extras of plenty of shopping, a classic car display and a fun fair.
David Epps, president of the Stamford and District Kiwanis said: “We are very excited about this event as it offers so much for families to take part in for free.
“We have put together a programme of workshops and activities that we hope offers something for everyone.”
