There’s plenty going on across the area to entertain the kids this May half-term.

Join the team at Sacrewell for a week full of outdoor adventure. Running every day from May 28 to June 5, there will be something for everyone from nature tours and wildlife spotting to pond dipping, den building and tractor rides.

Visit Oakham Castle this half-term for a range of family fun events to compliment the trails, quizzes and dressing up that are available at the castle every day from 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesday).

There will be two children’s drama workshops taking place over three sessions (from June 1 to 3) - The Jester’s Tale, from 9am to 11am (seven to 10 years) and Castle Crime Capers, from 3pm to 5pm (11 to 15 years). £10 per child. To book e-mail jburditt@rutland.gov.uk

Or if your kids are looking to get active this half-term, Sports Xtra is hosting camps at Stamford Welland Academy from Tuesday to Thursday.

Camps running include the exclusive Hotel Transylvania 2 ‘Monster in Training’ Xperience as well as sport, dance and adventure ‘Xperiences’.
