It was a tough weekend for the region’s rugby sides whose matches were not abandoned because of the wet weather.
All the local sides competing in league rugby lost on Saturday.
Oakham endured a thumping away loss at Dronfield on Saturday in Midlands 2 East (North).
Oakham shipped 42 points without reply on a difficult afternoon.
The Rutland side currently sit in fifth position in the league.
Stamford, who sit four places below them in ninth, had their game at Melbourne called off.
Deepings home match against Stewarts and Lloyds in Midlands 3 East (South) was also postponed due to the weather.
In Midlands 4 East (South) Stamford College Old Boys were unable to add to their three league wins on their travels to Corby.
The home side won 39-5 to maintain their position one place ahead of Stamford who sit in eighth.
Bourne were unable to register a point during their 15-0 loss to local rivals Thorney.
Bourne remain rooted to the foot of the table in Midlands 4 East (South).
Promotion chasing Oundle were unable to close the gap on league leaders Long Buckby who won 25-15 at home.
Oundle remain in second place.
