A good day for Stamford RFC U10s

On a cold, windy day, Stamford under-1os Red’s came out on top against spirited Oundle sides.

Stamford Reds played three games, winning two and drawing the other.

In the first game, Stamford breezed past Oundle B 8 – 0 with a hat-trick of tries from Ciaran Dolby, one each from Will Ramsey, Robbie Williams and a brace from George Johnstone.

The final try came from Kyle Fivaz who was playing his last game for Stamford before moving to the United States with his family.

Stamford Reds’ second game was a hard-fought affair against Oundle A.

Both teams suffered from ball handling errors but made up for it with great rucking and tackling. The game ended 1 – 1 with Sam Calvert running a try in to the corner.

Stamford’s last game was against Oundle’s Festival side and once again was a very spirited game with some great courageous tackling from both teams. Stamford edged the game 2 – 1 with tries from Tom Chesworth and a breakaway run from Will Ramsey ending in a try.
