Mike and Rod secure a draw
MID-TABLE Bourne A drew 5-5 with Braunston A in division one of the Stamford and Rutland Table Tennis League.
Mike Willis and Rod Goss each won twice for Bourne, but they needed the doubles point to claim the draw.
Elsewhere, Stamford School returned to winning ways by defeating Stamford Free Church 8-2.
There was another tussle between Braunston and Bourne in division 2 with Bourne’s C team beating the villagers 7-3.
This was Braunston’s first defeat of the season and Mike Shattock was the star of the evening for Bourne with three wins. He was strongly supported by Harry Jackson and Kevin Day with two wins apiece.
Uffington CC B earned their second win of the season against bottom club Tallington B.
