Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams was a convincing winner of the men’s singles at the Top of Ghent international tournament in Belgium at the weekend.
The Deeping ace made up for the disappointment of missing out on a fourth Winmau Masters title seven days earlier by storming to an impressive victory at the Flanders Sports Arena in Ghent.
He came up against Holland’s Wesley Harms in the final and cruised to a 4-0 win to take the title and a cheque for 1,850 euros.
Adams had an excellent average of 33.55 during the first set, recording a 12-dart second leg which included three 140s.
He hit 45 scores of a ton or more and three 180s.
He beat Belgium’s Kenny Neyens 5-2 in the last 16 round, Dutchman Jan Dekker 2-1 in the quarter-finals and England team-mate Robbie Green 3-2 in his semi-final.
