Owner Tracy Makey won the Ladies Summer Knockout final at Rutland Water Golf Club after a close match against Sally Homer.
Tracy was up against it in the first part of the round as Sally made a strong start in the early morning conditions to go into a three up lead after five holes.
However, with some excellent play Tracy bounced back immediately to win four holes in a row and turned the match around to lead one up after the front nine.
The back nine was a tight affair with some steady golf played by both ladies and after 17 holes Tracy still held a slender one hole advantage and kept her never brilliantly to win the last and record a two up victory.
Only three points separated the top eleven players in the Gents October Stableford as Craig Woolmer edged out Mark Holmes on countback after both scored 40 points. Four pars in the last seven holes helped eighteen handicapper Craig to 20 points on the back nine and caps what has been a great few months of play for Craig who has achieved two wins and a second place and seen three shot reduction in his handicap.
On a rain hit October Medal Ronnie Wood battled the elements to finish with a 92 nett 71 to win by four shots to Mike Donaldson in second with an 81 nett 75, who also won the lowest gross prize, and Chris Newton in third with a 92 net 76.
Birdies on both nines helped John Sansome to score 38 points in the October Midweek Stableford and a two point victory over Andrew Cresswell and Dave Mee who both finished on 36 points. In the weather affected Ladies October Stableford Kay Dickens displayed some solid ball striking in the tough conditions to win with 30 points.
