Stamford High School Year 11 pupil, Maddie Munro-Hall, has become one of the youngest players ever to be selected for Loughborough Lightening’s national Super League Netball squad.
As a current member of the long squad, Maddie currently trains with England International players Sasha Corbin, Jade Clarke, Lauren Steadman and Ama Agbeze every Thursday evening.
Additionally she is being coached by former England players Karen Atkinson and Olivia Murphy. She has already started the season by representing Loughborough Lightening’s long squad in the National Super League and accompanies the full squad to every Super League match around the country playing before these matches.
Last weekend Maddie played in Manchester, beating Yorkshire Jets, and during half term her Loughborough Lightening team beat Team Northumbria.
Her netball journey is set to continue as she is due to embark on a National Netball Academy weekend at Bath University at the end of November.
Maddie continues to represent Stamford High School’s First Team and on November 11, she helped the team to victory in the U19 County Netball Tournament.
Head of physical education for Stamford High School Heidi Cannie, said: “We are extremely proud of Maddie’s netball achievements and hope to be able to watch her in action at Loughborough over the netball season.
