An Oakham schoolboy achieved a remarkable double success in the Riding for the Disabled national championships.

Oliver Crellin-Stimson, aged nine, who attends Oakham Primary School, competed in the countryside challenge class at Hartpury College Gloucestershire.

In a group of 13 riders from all over the country, he scored a fantastic 165 points to become the national junior champion.

His score beat the first senior adult by five points, which meant Oliver, who was representing the Mount Group from Somerby, also became the overall champion.
