Nassington beat Market Overton by 56 runs in the opening fixture of the Rutland Division One cricket season on Sunday.

Nassington’s win was thanks mainly to a debut senior ton for 16 year-old Connor Craig. Kasim Ikhlaq (42 & 4-61) also played well for Nasssington.

Barnack’s home game with Uppingham was postponed because of unfit playing conditions - the Barnack mowers had broken down so the grass hadn’t been cut.
