Bourne were dumped out of semi-final in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League Winkworth Cup competition yesterday (Monday).
Bourne, the current cup holders, came up against Bracebridge Heath in the Twenty/20 competition at Sleaford Cricket Club and were pipped by eight runs.
Bracebridge totalled 179-6 and Bourne made a very bright start.
A breezy 39 by skipper Peter Morgan saw them reach 59-1 after five overs and it was looking good.
They lost their way in the middle of the innings a bit but with three overs to go they were handily placed at 147-6.
But Bracebridge bowled well under pressure and Bourne ended up just short.
