Rutland Trampoline Club returned home with 37 medals from the Rutland and Leicestershire County Trampoline Championships.

Among the 70 children competing for the club were 15 with special educational needs (SEN), 12 of who gained medals.

Most of the SEN children are part of the Aiming High group in Rutland which trains at Oakham CE Primary School on Fridays, and which also offers swimming, basketball, film nights, horse riding, etc.

Club coach Amanda Mathers said: “A huge congratulations to all of our children as they really are STARS and we are extremely proud of them ALL!

“Despite being a large club, the children have formed wonderful friendships, are very supportive and encouraging to each other and we feel we have a really special team of children, who make us extremely proud!”

The club caters for children aged 5 to 16, and for over 17s/adults. It runs at Stevenage Leisure Centre in Oakham on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm, (and 6pm to 7pm adults only), and one-hour sessions on Thursdays every hour from 3.30, 4.30, 5.30 and 6.30pm.
