With just two weeks to go to the beginning of the competitive road season, the Bourne Wheelers club host their sixth annual reliability trial on Sunday morning.
The trial is a test of the riders’ pace judgement, where they predict how long they think it will take to complete the course, taking into account the weather, course and any other factors.
The ride has an option of three distances - 39, 62 and 80 miles and is open to anyone. Each route has three time bands to aim for, the fastest being an average of 18 mph and the slowest 13mph.
The cost is £7 with all profits going to the Yellow Beetle Charity and the club’s youth development programme.
First riders leave at 9.30 with signing on from 8.30 at the Bourne Youth Centre next to Bourne Leisure Centre car park, off Queens Road, refreshments at the finish. For details email Mark on firstname.lastname@example.org
