Bourne Town Harriers athletes travelled to Louth on Sunday last week for the first Lincolnshire cross-country league event of the season.
The course is an extremely good test for athletes of all abilities, having been previously the venue for the county championships.
First away for the Harriers was Roman Everist, who finished in seventh position out of a large field in the mixed u11 race.
Elin James finished a credible fourth in the girls’ u13 event.
In the boys u13 race Matthew Colman was 7th, followed by Toby Everist a place behind in eighth. Dan Lawrance was the third Harrier to finish.
Molly Bennet ran one of her best ever races for the Harriers in finishing 4th in the girls u15 event. Luke Skinner finished in the top 10 in the boys’ race.
Cameron Everist, not for the first time was the Harrier’s most impressive performer when he finished in a superb second place in the boy’s u17 race. Beth Howells finished in the top 10 of the girls u17 race, which was ran in conjunction with the women’s seniors and vets. Joe Howells ran a competitive men’s senior race, as did Terry Lawrence in the men’s vets.
