Stamford turned the form book upside down when they denied Skelmersdale United the opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Premier Division table with a 2-0 win.

The goals came from Ryan Robbins and Nabil Shariff, either side of half-time.

In the UCL Premier, Deeping Rangers completed a comfortable 4-0 win Newport Pagnell.

Spencer Tinkler (16 minutes), Scott Ginty (42), Josh Moreman (70) and Scott Bogusz (88) got the goals.

In Division One, Bourne suffered their fourth league defeat in a row when they went down 2-1 to Rothwell Corinthians.

But this was in improvement for Bourne, who lost 4-1 when the sides met two weeks earlier.

Chris Clarke and Sam Johnson gave Rothwell a 2-0 lead after half-an-hour, before Craig Rook puklled one back shortly before half-time.

In the Peterborough & District Premier, Uppingham maintained their excellent form with a 1-0 win over Coates Athletic.

Oakham’s miserable run contiued with a 3-0 home defeat to Whittlesey United.

In The Leicestershiree Senior League Premier Division, Cottesmore Amateurs lost 3-0 at home to Shepshed Dynamo Reserves. They face FC GNG on Tuesday night (Dec 3).
