Bourne Town bounced back from a poor midweek display to stun one of the UCL Division One promotion favourites Northampton Spencer 2-1.

Substitute Cardin Pierre-Liverpool gave the Wakes the lead in the 66th minutes and five minutes later Scott Spearink added a second for Bourne.

Northampton Spencer cut the deficit a minute from full-time through Curtis Avery.

But it was too late to prevent their first away defeat of the season as Bourne took maximum points.

Bourne are now 14th in the UCL Division One, their beaten opponents are fourth.

The high-flying Wakes Reserves continued their strong start to the season with a 8-2 trouncing of Peterborough Northern Star Reserves on the road.

Young Harley Williams, who came over to Bourne with first team manager Raffa Mazzarella in the summer, scored a hat-trick in the rout.
