There was more action off the field than on it this week with players possibly on their way in and out of the Abbey Lawn.
While Bourne’s matches at home to Northampton Spencer and away at Rothwell Corinthians were postponed due to the weather, the Wakes have received approaches for two of their players.
Stamford’s Blackstones hope to sign striker Ben Easson, while another UCL Premier Division side, Peterborough Northern Star, want to secure the services of Dan Smith.
“It’s disappointing at this stage of the season,” said Wakes boss Darren Munton. “We have picked up well and that catches people’s attention.”
Bourne have put in their own approach for Stones’ midfielder Andy Boome.
Munton said tomorrow’s game at Buckingham Town is unlikely to go ahead.
