Semi-final draw reunites ex-clubmates

In a twist of fate Baston Reserves will face local rivals Glinton United in the PFA Cup Semi Final.

The Goats thought they would be facing PSL A but Glinton received a walkover victory to now face Baston in the semi final.

The game, which will take place at Baston on February 9, will pit Baston Reserves boss Phil Davies come up against the team’s former joint manager Paul Bescoby, and a number of ex-Baston players, including Bedford, Twell, Pearson and Thorney.

Earlier in the season Baston and Glinton traded points in the league games Baston running out 6-0 winners at home but going down 4-2 in the away fixture.

Both teams will be looking to lift the trophy in their respective first seasons in the Peterborough and District League.
