Bourne Reserves beat Long Buckby Reserves 5-0 at the Abbey Lawn

THE Wakes Reserves enjoyed their biggest win of the season, a 5-0 triumph against Long Buckby Reserves, on Saturday.

Danny Pick scored a hat-trick as the Bourne side cruised to victory in the second half.

Alec Robinson had opened the scoring with a first half header and Scott McKenzie scored Bourne’s third, placing his shot under the keeper after a clever ball over Buckby’s back line.

Manager James Dainty was delighted, saying: “It was one of our best performances of the season. We outplayed them for 60 minutes and 5-0 was not flattering.

l LANGTOFT United put seven past Warboys as they build up a head of steam in the Peterborough and District league’s first division.
