Pointon under-14s went into the last game of the season with nothing to play for as promotion and the league were all ready in the bag, and it showed as their early play lacked any real urgency.
It was no surprise then, to see the hosts take the lead after five minutes.
Eventually though Pointon got into gear and soon drew level when Mike Fleming used his pace to beat the offside trap to score.
This kick started a superb 20 minute spell by Pointon as they tore the opposition apart.
The second and third goals came with flowing moves involving Jed Humphries, Ed Brady and Alex Nelms whose pinpoint crosses found Max Graham who headed in on both occasions. Nelms then helped himself to a couple of goals. Fleming then added a sixth and just before half time Pointon were awarded a penalty kick, converted by Jamie Cross.
Swifts scored late in the day to make it 7-2.
