Deeping Rangers boss Tuncay Korkmaz is in no rush to sign replacements for Alex Beck and Mitch Griffiths, who scored more than 30 goals between them last season.

Beck has returned to Boston Town while Griffiths has signed for hometown club Sleaford but Korkmaz insists he will take his time before bringing in replacements.

Korkmaz, who led Rangers to fourth place in the UCL last season, said: “Matty Heron scored 19 goals from midfield last season, and Ryan Oliver got 27, so we have more than adequate options up front.

“We are perhaps a bit short of left and right-sided offensive players and I do want to sign a couple of players before the season starts but I am going to sit back for the time being.

“This year is the hardest I have known. There are only so many quality players and all the clubs seem to be going after the same ones.

“We’re ambitious, but we have a budget.”

“Maybe we will see players who are unknown or under-rated make their mark next season.

“All the other players have told me they want to stay and we have some good players coming through the reserves.

“The Under 18s won the league and cup as well so I don’t need to make many sinings.”
