Mixed fortune as sides return to action

It was an afternoon of mixed fortune as teams from Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings returned to action after two weeks of postponements.

The Daniels picked up three points with skipper Richard Jones scoring the only goal of the game at Market Drayton but there were home defeats for Blackstones and Deeping Rangers, and Bourne were held to a draw.

Cottesmore Amateurs, meanwhile, must wait a little longer to get back in action after their Leicestershire Senior LEague game at Ashby Ivanhoe was called off.
