Bourne Town manager Mark Cook has rolled the dice in bringing some new players to the club.
His side managed a second consecutive victory on Tuesday night, beating Rothwell Corinthians 1-0 in the Hinchingbrooke Cup.
But the real news comes with his new additions.
Tom Siddons is a teenage striker who was scoring seemingly at will for S
leaford at the latter end of last season.
The youngster scored for England Under-18 schoolboys in a 2-0 win over Australia last January.
And he was being scouted by Aston Villa and Nottingham Forrest.
The signing of Siddons is a real coup for a side that has recently moved off the bottom of the UCL table.
The Wakes travel to Raunds tomorrow after their first back-to-back wins of the season and Siddons could be joined in the squad by another new player.
Cook said: "I know Tom from when he was at Sleaford, and he has got a great eye for goal.
"He is returning from university with Miles Hunter, who could also be in the squad for Saturday, and they are both good strikers with UCL experience."
The pair are bringing with them defender Temilade Ajimoko, a player Cook has never seen.
Ajimoko has decent credentials, playing for Birmingham University and winning the BUSA Men's Northern Premier Championship last year.
Cook said: "I don't know much about Temi, but he is a highly recommended centre back, and it may prove to be great cover for Khameel Spence."
Spence is in the RAF, taking a four-month tour of the Falklands in December.
Cook added: "When I began it was difficult to scrape together 11 players, but now I'm going to have around 22 which is great.
"You can never say never in terms of new players, but I'm very happy.
"These new guys aren't definitely going to start on Saturday, but it's good to have a strong squad to choose from."
Dan Cartwright, who scored the only goal in the scrappy game on Tuesday, and skipper Lewis Cook are the only unavailable players for the Wakes.
Cook added: "We managed to rest some bodies midweek, but the win brings some tough decisions for me.
"Half of me thought Tuesday didn't matter, but half wanted the win and the confidence boost."
Raunds lost 2-1 to Holbeach United in the FA Carlsberg Vase last weekend.
