JUNIOR CRICKET: Angus's swing bowl nets 5-3
Bourne U/13s (45-1) beat North Luffenham U/13s (43 all out) by nine wickets
A devastating display of of left arm swing bowling from bowler Angus Pinner powered Bourne under 13s to a win.
Put in to bat by Bourne skipper Rob Cameron, the visitors had accumulated 40-3 when Pinner began his spell from the School Lane end at Edenham.
And he ripped the heart out of the batting, taking five wickets for three runs in his two overs.
Josh Bentley (2-6), Charlie Venables (1-4), Jack Vale (1-3) and Calum Fawcett (1-11) were the other wicket takers as North Luffenham were all out for 43 in the 19th of their allotted 20 overs.
The mainstay of their innings was a fine 21 from Sam Hodson.
In reply, George Hartley (17no) and Josh Bentley (10) put together an intelligent opening partnership, reaching 32 in relatively untroubled fashion before Bentley was caught backward of point.
Vale (7no) and Hartley then saw Bourne home in the 13th over.
