TWO Bourne Town Under 9 football teams are celebrating thrilling tournament victories.
The Red triumphed at an event at Cranwell while the Clarets took the honours at a competition in Peterborough.
It was a great achievement by the Reds, who are in their first season together.
They played five six-a-side matches in a round robin
style at Cranwell and did not lose a game, only conceding two goals. Overall they won three and drew two. This was enough for them to play Navenby in the final.

The squad was made up of Bradley Allan, Joshua Asplin, Alexander Bevan, James Colam, Thomas Fell, Lewis Goodson, Adam Hawkins, Felix Morgan-Kay and Joseph Stephens and all made good contributions.
Manager Craig Allan rotated his teams to ensure that all the boys got equal game exposure. Their best goal was a sublime chip over the goalkeeper by Joseph Stephens. Further good goals came from James Colam and Lewis Goodson.
The Clarets produced some truly outstanding foorball at the Peterborough tournament.
Despite a slow start with a 0-0 draw after the first match, Bourne came alive. Harper, Hannant, Dodd and Gurney all found the net impressively on the day.
Midfield stars Woodward and Gurney kept the supply line going to the forwards, while defender Hinks and goalkeeper Murphy were strong at the back.
They beat Yaxley Blues in the semi-finals before beating Yaxley Lincs 2-0 in the final.
