Market Deeping 2nd lost to Belton Park by nine wickets
MARKET Deeping 2nd's woeful start to the season gathered pace as they were well beaten at Belton Park.
Asked to bat first on a wet wicket, Deeping were soon four wickets down and looking at
complete humiliation until 16-year-old Josh Green joined skipper Nick Andrews to effect some kind of fightback.
But after a fruitful partnership Green (30) and Andrews (25) perished before the tail evaporated without a wimper to leave the visitors the task of defending 79 when they took the field.
Unsurprisingly Deeping never came close to making a fight of it and their third defeat of the season leaves them rooted at the bottom of South Lincs division 1.

Market Deeping 2nd beat Oakham 2nd 168AO
An unusually strong Deeping Sunday 2nd team met an Oakham side shorn of most of its bowling at Outgang Road.
After a good start by Oakham, who were well contained by Jack Anderson, Andrew Tiplady made the breakthrough, and, despite the bowlers giving away too many extras, they gradually worked through the Oakham batting line-up.
Opener Rounsell batted steadily for 33 before skipper Tom Shinkins removed him. He also took a brilliant catch off Tiplady.
Anderson's second spell was more expensive but he quickly took three wickets, ending with 3-40. Josh Green then chipped in with two wickets, Oakham ending at 168 all out.
Batting got easier when Oakham opening bowler Mullins was injured and opener Ed. Davies cruised to a comfortable 77 not out, while Frank Gloster kick-started his season with an airy 59, as Deeping reached 169-3 with eight overs to spare.
