BOWLS: Shield goes to newcomer

Bourne Town Bowls Club held their first competition, The Ron and Gwen Neal Shield, last Monday, one of the warmest days of the year so far.
Newcomer Ron Pearson is more used to crown green bowling, but won with a magnificent 25 points, three clear of joint runners-up Mavis Tory and Norman Stubley.
