Q: When do I need to change the filter?
A: At some point up to 3 years after first using the AirVax, the air filter will need to be replaced. The cost of a replacement filter is £39.99. (T2 to source from Meaco).
Q: Just how does it work?
A: The AirVax takes unfiltered air into the unit from the top and pushes it down into and through the filter, the clean air then re-enters the room from the bottom of the unit. One AirVax is designed to clean the air in rooms up to 25m2 when used on its full speed setting. Using the AirVax on its quietest setting (ideal for a bedroom ) will still actively purify the air in rooms up to 10m2. It will refresh the air in a 5m x 5m x 2.5m room in under an hour.
Q: Is there a remote Control?
A: The AirVax has three fan speeds which can be controlled via the single button the front of the unit, or alternatively the handy slimline remote control can be used. The remote comes with batteries and is ready to use right out of the box.
Q: Weight?
A: 1.7kgs
Q: Will it remove all carbon monoxide (CO) from the air should there be a domestic leak?
A: No, the AirVax will remove some particles of CO, but will not remove all CO should there be a leak from a home gas apparatus for example.
