‘The fire started in Pudding Lane and started in a baker’s shop owned by Thomas Farriner – who was the King’s baker.’

Year 2 enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London on Friday 17th, with the help of the Partake Theatre Company. Children where transported back to September 1666, and recreated the events of the Great Fire.

The drama workshop was a huge success and the day helped bring to life the events of the fire, in an engaging and interesting way for the children. We had a fantastic day, with children taking part in other activities too, including building their own Tudor style houses and writing with quills and ink!

The drama workshops play an important part in providing our children with a rich and varied curriculum.
