Bourne Garden of Remembrance opened on a bright sunny day, full of the autumn rich
colours.

The young cadets in attendance added a sense of occasion, very smartly turned out in their uniforms bearing their standard.

The Rev David Staples conducted the service and representatives were there in support to place crosses from the various groups including the British Legion chairman and vice chairman and his lady, who placed the first cross of remembrance.

One of the retired officers was Mr Ted Hayford, from Heathcote Road, Bourne.
