Saturday, April 5 was Rotary’s National Know Your Blood Pressure Day.

The Rotary Club of Bourne St Peter parked a camper van in the car park at Tesco, Bourne between 10am and 12pm where members invited shoppers to have a free blood pressure reading taken by nurse Lorraine Buchan who volunteered to give up some of her weekend to support the event.

The day is held in conjunction with Stroke Awareness to make people realise the importance of maintaining their blood pressure levels within normal average guidelines to prevent strokes. 29 people had their blood pressure taken and none were outside these readings.
